Laurence McNamara provided basic knowledge about a Planning and Zoning Boards purposes,on Lynn's Blog,as the Commission is totally ignorant about them.His correction of legal language of regulations was acknowledged by the previous attorney members who overlooked,or missed legal meaning of wording used, and would have caused misinterpretation.He is a student of the Law with 4.0 average,at PBSC.
What their Law and Ordinances are made for,to protect a City's interests,to prevent another Crash caused by overbuilding with variances given by corrupt P.& Z. Boards. The Lucerne was given a permit under Blackman with 13 violations.(I have the list)A major requirement is that it's builder ,give the City 110 Public Parking spaces,to prevent the chaos and loss of downtown business by th lack of downtown parking.
Then Boardmember,Loretta Sharpe(P.& Z and Code Boards were occupied by realtors of the Pier Group,so she easily,
in absence of Blackman(Chair) changed the density from 22 to 82, with her Realtor colleagues votes, on that odious Board. Results: they got the exclusive rights for the sale of the Lucerne's 82 Condos.Millions in Comissions!
Our cost:no adequate downtown Parking.Who is making money under the table Downtown renting those Condos,unlicensed?
There are wittnesses.
The lack of adequate parking is permanent result of those 82 Units,without additon of 110 mandated public parking facility for its' permit.
That is a perfect example of corrupt functioning of a P.& Z.Board.
Today's Board is occupied by a majority, moral members with outstanding qualities and one member with 21 year thorough knowledge of Building,Zoning,Code ,Planning,one with building costs and revenue value. County based knowledge.Not one Commission member has this knowledge needed for Lake Worth.
We have the plans for the entire Dixie Highway rehab.created by professionals in the field.One member has negotiated with all businesses, to relocate to another City location creating their own Industrial Center,increasing business traffic for their centralised services.
The CRA refused the plan.It is in our Kitchen cabinet.
CRA wasted $15,000,000,a debt to the City, resulting in millions in maintenence,watering of added landscaping.Not one promised business was established for those $15,000,000.
Manalapan did the same job for $1.800,000 for 1 1/2 mile total refurbishing,incl.infrastructure!!!!Check Shiny sheet and former Mayor Gerard,who put it out for public bid.CRA refused to,$8,600,000 for 1/2 mile,10th ave .No.residential part still shabby, not 1 business.
The CRA needs to be redistricted to our blighted neighborhood,so that our Downtown revenue will increase our General Fund.
It has lost us enough millions.
Will this new Commission majority act on this fact ?
Or only insist on $7,000,000,-Deficit,their achievement?
